Erin Duke
Erin Duke is the owner, creative director, and lead teacher of Watercolor for Kids. She has been creating art and exploring her creativity since she was a child. Before founding Watercolor for Kids, Erin taught elementary school for eight years, where she discovered her passion for inspiring young artists and nurturing creativity in children.
Erin also lived in Japan for two years, an experience that deepened her appreciation for different cultures and continues to influence both her teaching and artwork. She loves traveling, exploring the natural world, and finding inspiration in the beauty around her.
When she isn't teaching or painting, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and their beloved pets. She believes that art, nature, and creativity have the power to bring peace, joy, and connection, and she is passionate about sharing that experience with every child who walks into her classroom.
"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." --Pablo Picasso

Gravitational Pull: Moonscapes, 2024
Gravitational Pull: Moonscapes, invites viewers to experience the serenity of the full moon, the ocean, and the celestial skies as sacred, spiritual spaces. Across twelve unique works, this collection reflects on the ancient, ritualistic relationship between the ocean and the moon. The series reminds us that while life is ever changing, certain constants remain, quietly grounding us, like the moon’s pull on the tides and our collective fascination with its universal presence.
